The next walk is on Tuesday 12th May, Lyme and Wood Country Park. 3.5 miles approx. and a coffee stop.

The walk starts from the car park on Vista Road Haydock WA11 0RN. Leaving Ashton take the road past Haydock Park Racecourse and at the traffic lights just past the racecourse turn right and a little further on at the small island turn left onto Vista Road. Car Park is on the right about 400 yards down the road.

The area is reclaimed pit land and will be muddy in places after rain. The paths we will be taking are in the main fair to good.

There are some short inclines but no hills or stiles. Be aware of tree roots passing through the wooded area.
